my 4x4 on my access cab 2008 tacoma SR5 TRD isn't operational at the moment. the 4x4 light is constantly flashing and i don't hear the in-cab click when the 4x4 used to engage.
along with the possibility that the actuator is done or a vacuum line is damaged, i'm unaware if there is an associated fuse related to this that i'm missing on checking?
also, assuming it is the actuator does the site have a good buy on one for a canadian customer?
thank you and happy easter everybody!

I'd search the threads. You'll find a thread that is most likely the problem and it's an easy fix.

It involves cleaning and soldering the 12 volt actuator motor's terminal commections together... they are just friction fit by design from the factory.

Disconnect the connector on the actuator. The servo motor inside should move when battery voltage is applied to terminals No. 1 (where the red wire connects) and No. 2 (where the black wire with white tracer connects). The motor should move in the opposite direction when the voltage is reversed.

FWIW, that hose on it is not a vacuum tube but a vent hose only. It terminates in the engine compartment on the left (driver's) fender with another such vent hose and has a shiny metal cap on it.

well my hopes were dashed when i got the actuator off and took a look inside. the issue wasn't bad contact from the leads, there were broken pieces inside the case once it opened.
worse yet is the replacement price on an 4x4 actuator is $670.00! hoping someone knows of a good mail-in supplier in Canada for this part.
