Which Plug Gap ?

    Getting ready to change plugs on a 2001 2.4. Am going to use NGK's-have not yet decided between the G or V power series. My question is this-while all my specs indicate a gap of .044, NGK's website says .032 on all model plugs available for this truck. This seems way to close to me, but that's what they're saying. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    i would set the gap at .040.......................032 is way too close.

    I had a '99 Xtra Cab PreRunner SR5 V6
    Also, the V6 uses dual electrode plugs too.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    For your engine, The FSM shows a required gap of .043 on the 2.4.

    It's all in my head at the moment...
    I'll ask and maybe it'll answer that question some won't ask. Do you gap up to the edge of the plug to .040 or whatever or do you center the electrode on the gapper.

    Wish I could draw...

    It moved when I took the pic, but the plug is gapped at .040
