Spongy brakes on the 1st gen

    2004 F-350...uh lots of motor work to go fast...er. Way to much to list. 2001: 3" leveling kit, ARB bumper, lightforce 240 blitz, 35" KM2s. SOLD 2008: OME 886s 90000 with dakars, LR UCAs, 5% tint, Satashi. SOLD 2015: Flooded and Gone
    So I have spongy brakes on my 1st Gen. I have put new calipers and rotors on numerous times. Any suggestions? It's a 3.4 4dr 4x4 on 35s, it did this before 35s as well so I know that isn't the problem.

    Possible brake booster problem....or bleed the lines real good...

    So bad brake booster? I haven't really gotten into the brake system so I don't know much about the mechanics of it other than changing and bleeding them

    if your booster is acting up, spongy pedal, lots of extra pedal pressure needed to get the brakes to work....

    I thought my 1st gen needed a little extra pedal to get it to stop. Sometimes I feel it's ok and sometimes I feel my truck won't stop haha. But there's no extra travel, brakes engage pretty quick. And they will lock up. Maybe my brake booster is bad as well?
