I just bought a 2014 double cab l/b TRD sport. I was dissapointed when I finally read up on the auto LSD that I saw on the standard. The whole open rear with braking is a bunch of crap. I want to get a true trac but don't know what rear is in my truck. I figure it's a Dana of some kind. I only really have experience with Chevy and ford rears. Anyone have any info?

    Welcome to TW!

    It's a Toyota 8.4 axle.

You could easily install a true LSD third in an hour. No idea what you would need to do to your computer to override the retarded brake LSD. You could also install a locker, but when not locked you would be open.

Nothing to do with Dana, Ford, or Cheby.

Thanks for the welcoming! I don't think I would need to override anything. Just not disengage the traction control which enables the Auto LSD. I have a true tack in my chevelle and I think it's one of the best LSD's available.

    Thanks for the info.
