I had a dash cam wire clip that was mounted onto the upper part of my windshield.
When I removed it , it left behind some adhesive residue. My problem is that the adhesive is stuck onto the part of the windshield that has a light factory blue tint and some black dots on it. If I use goo gone on it, will it mess up this area? Here's a pic taken from a tacomaworld member to show you the area.

Have you tried a basic window cleaner?

And....I mean....spray it, let it soak.... wipe. Spray it...let it soak...wipe. It might take a while but at least you're using window cleaner.

I can't comment on goo gone. Personally, I'd just use window cleaners and some patience.

I paint guitars as a hobby and alot of times i need to remove a ton of stickers
Before i paint them and WD40 always does the trick. Spray a little on a rag and it should come off.

But just like ^^ said i would try window cleaner first

I would have no problem using goo gone as it's a citrus based cleaner. I would try window cleaner first then goo gone then wd40. wd40 does work well, but is more solvent based.

Thanks , really appreciate the advice. After I come back from vacation I will use the window cleaner method. I have used window cleaner in the past to try to remove it but I didn't let it soak. I'll keep you posted.
