I have some Redline gear oil. The bottles they come in don't have any measurements on them, and the opening is too small to screw a pump on to. I've just done an oil change, and saved one of the bottles. I left it upside down overnight to drain any motor oil that was left in it. Looks like it's just a film that's left over from the motor oil. I wouldn't think there was enough motor oil left to affect anything. I should be okay to transfer the gear oil into the motor oil container so I can pump it into the gearbox/tcase/diffs right?

I used duct tape and wrapped the bottle until I could screw the pump cap on.

Sounds like more chance for a mess.

It wasn't too bad. I used a bottle pump from autozone. The bottle can stand up on the ground and there's enough hose to go to the tranny. I only had a few drips after pulling the hose.
