03 ADD CV Axles different lengths?

    33x12.50 Pro Comp M/T's All-Pro Coils, UCA and 3" leafs.
    So I am installing new CV and comparing CV to CV as I did the boot slide mod. I noticed that one CV is approx 1/2" shorter than the other!

    They are the same model number and if I remember correctly they should be the same length on the ADD trucks. The CV is even stamped with the same number. Am I missing something here? Is that extra half inch going to be ok?

    Try "burping" the inner joints grease boot. It's simply a tulip in a track and has about 2-3" of travel to allow for suspension articulation and turning, they can get air bound and not allow proper movement.. (The outer birfield joints do not have any lateral movement.)

    Match the lengths with your old CV's off the truck...

    They are centered. Just couldn't take a photo that didn't make it look like we're not. (Whew, that's a triple negative?)

    Thank you guys! I was kinda pissed when I first saw them not line up. What you say makes sense now that I think about it.
