Well I'm not gonna bore everyone with another vibration story . But I do have a quick question . I've tried shims spacers and all the little tricks on my 3" lifted 2014 double cab I'm down to a mild vibration at 25mph and a slight Humm sound at 40mph neither go away in 4wd . So my question is how long have you folks lived with minor vibes and not broke components . If all I have to worry about are new u joints around 50k or 60k I can live with that . But if tranny is breaking I'm gonna have to rethink this truck

Thanks for the feedback. Only problem is I've tried all those options , with not much luck , I guess I was hoping to hear from some 2005-2009 lifted tacos with minor vibes that are still going strong with no major driveline damage . If nothings really getting damaged other than premature ujoint failure I can live with that if not I may take the 1 inch block out of the back as well as the carrier drop and drive it leveled out if it doesn't look to crazy

Does switching to 4wd even change the vibration at all?

I think the needle bearing in the diff is inherently a design flaw and you can only improve your truck by switching it out with the bushing.

Not much change if anything it vibrates more, I'm going Monday to have ecgs install the bushing just for good measure then I may take the 1" blocks out of the back and leave the front spacers in and see how it looks and if that makes it vibe free

It's been a real solid truck other than the vibes. So I hope I can cure it considering that all the research I've done proves there is no better truck alternative they all are having issues of some sort. 2014 Silverado is in a lawsuit over worse vibrations tthe what I have

Did you try the carrier bearing drop kit, with shims?

edit nvr mind I missed you said you have.

My 05 had vibes that I was able to greatly mimize with the drop kit and shims. It still had very minor vibes after that which I lived with until I sold it 50k+ miles later no issues

    Just another thought....

Did you disconnect your driveshaft at any point?

I think that not reinstalling it to the flanges the same way can unbalance things.

They also typically have little weights tack welded to them. You may check to see if you haven't lost any.

Thanks that's exactly the kinda news I was hoping to hear . 50k miles with mild vibes and no issues. I tried a 3 degree shim and it was too much I may try a 1 degree before I decide to remove the lift blocks all togeather . Just curious what did you buy once you sold your 05

well I'm the second owner so not sure if ever removed and replaced wrong but the weights are still there . Isn't the way to tell if ds is installed correctly to look and if the transmission yoke is up and down then the pinion yoke schould be up and down

Gotcha, we'll I think I'm just gonna live with the vibes there not that bad and I don't think I'm hurting anything other than maybe knocking a few miles off the u joints . I may remove the rear 1" rear lifting block and leave it leveled out and see if that cures the last couple vibes either way it's a solid truck and there isn't any truck out there without some issues I guess
