just curious who has done their own install? And what advice you would offer to someone who plans to do it themselves?

The install manual calls out 2 SST for holding the crank pulley that needs to be torqued to 200 ft lbs:eek:

Nice! Thank you Christian for posting. Was torqueing the SC crank pulley to 204ft lbs difficult? IYO what was the most difficult part.

Good point. I have a hill on the way to the dealer. That would've been bad

Or, be like me and let the professional do it because they have all the tools/knowledge that the common man doesn't have. You already shelled out big bucks for the SC, pay a little more and insure it's done right. You wouldn't put CZ on your second wife's hand, would you?

thanks again Christian. I just found a SC install thread from SManZ that called out the same tool. Nice to have reassurance its gonna work.

Thomas-Its not the dough for labor. Having it done right is one of the big reasons I plan to do it myself. I had a few Toyotas get half ass'd at the dealer. Plus I like to know the ins and outs of my vehicle as I plan to have it for a long time. To me, paying to have it installed will just allow me to stare blankly at it.
