Bought my 07 Taco in July. Love it. I bought the Toyota wiring harness and was cruising along in the installation process until step 2 (d) "Connecting the wire harness(4P) to the vehicle connector (4P)" I have looked and looked and had a knowledgeable buddy look- but can not find the taped vehicle connector (4P). I hate to take it in and get charged a bundle just to locate this- any help out there?

I don' believe it is for the brake controller. Ii is just part of the basic trailer wiring set up. After threading the wires under the seat and behind the junction block you connect the 4 pin connector. I went on to install the converter and have everything else ready to go- just can't find the vehicle 4 pin connector.

Notice that you did not get many responses. Did you find it yet? I'm thinking of doing the same to my 2008.

Do the instructions describe the location or provide some diagram? As a suggestion, you may want to take it to the dealer where you purchased the harness and see if the service tech will just show you the location as a courtesy without charging you anything. Good luck 777 Taco.

I finally found the 4p plug. It was jammed between the blue plastic box with wires coming out and the firewall. Left side.
