We the 400 watt inverter on the tacomas SUCK. It will not even power a coffee maker....Does anyone know where it is located and how difficult it is to change it to a more powerful plug. I was thinking of cranking the ampage and watts up to maybe 1000 watts. Has anyone done this?

When I go camping and duck hunting I would love to have a fresh brewed cup of coffee in the morning and maybe watch a DVD before bed.

The actual inverter is housed in the bottom rear of your center console.

You can swap out for a more powerful inverter unit, but I don't think most 'bigger' inverters will fit in the OEM console location.

Just remeber too that you will need all the wiring to be moslt likely upgraded to hold 80+ amps to get 1000watts.

yeah I figured I woul dhave to upgrade the wiring for a larger power supply.

When you say center console do you mean the dash or the little console between the two front seats?
