The noise is annoying, I've heard it on a couple other 1st Gen.'s too... Anyone know any proven ways to eliminate it? I'm thinking about sliding a strip of rubber underneath, but that might require taking the dash out. Obviously I'd like to be as unintrusive as possible to minimize frustration. Thanks!

    good luck

this is a fairly common occurrence and im not sure anything is proven over time to permanently fix the problem...my solution was to put a hat on top of the passenger side dash...that seems to work

Mine disappeared since they "re-framed" it.....I went so far as to yank the glove box and drag a magnet through crevices thinking I must have "floated" something out of the box..

They did not put new cab mounts but did use new bolts...If this helps...
