"09" Tacoma---Anyone know how to defeat the door lock feature on the passenger side, so that when the driver door is unlocked the passenger side is also unlocked, without having to push the button on the driver door or use the remote? Edit-this is a matter of convenience and lazy.If the truck is sitting in my garage or driveway, the driver door is unlocked, but but unless you have manually unlocked the passenger door, it is locked. I would really like for it to be unlocked when the driver side is unlocked, beats having to go around and unlock it or get the remote or the key.
    Thanks

If you use the key to unlock your truck, stick the key in the lock and turn once to unlock the driver's door, turn a second time to unlock the other door. The same (should) happen with the remote, but mine does not have keyless entry. One push unlocks the driver door, two presses unlocks the rest. It's a safety feature, so if you are getting in the car late at night and unlock your door, someone can't sneak up and get in the other side and surprise you. I hope this is what you were talking about.

Just push the unlock button twice on the remote... both doors unlock.
