Cabin Filters.....Can they be washed? (Answer inside)

Yes they can! I have washed one 4 times now.
Tap out any large debris
I fill the kitchen sink about 4" full of warm water, with 1 table spoon of dish soap. Let soak for 10 mins. Then, Rinse out with a garden hose, and let dry. I have done this succesfully 4 times, but on the 5th time, the side of the filter detached itself from the filter media.
Just an FYI

Wow no power tools involved are you feeling ok chris. I was looking for somthing like
Step 1 Use a leaf blower to get rid of the big stuff Then step 2 soak in acid then use a 1400psi power washer then bake in oven at 350deg for 5min.

When it gets dirty. I usually clean it every oil change or every other oil change. Its probably a good idea to keep an extra on hand before you try and clean it.
