cut it to size, took the cover off and 5 screws holding the inside top cover out and undid the hinge. pulled it tight and connected it with 5 screws that were removed. minimal sewing required to tie up loose ends inside.

The cheaper route I'm going, is working with my welding friend to make stuff like that ourselves. I'll only be paying for raw materials.

On aftermarket radios, usualy means grounding out the green parking brake wire from the radio, with or without a relay. Could be similar for factory nav if you can find which wire it is.

The cheapest route would be building it yourself. However finding a good deal on a used bumper someone is selling is a great way too! Keep your eyes and ears open, and watch your local threads for anyone selling.

Good luck!

Do you mind putting up some more pictures of how you did this? I think I understand but want to make sure. So you just stretch the fabric around the top and screw through it with the screws to hold it in place?

All i know is that i just put an after market dvd receiver in mine and i spliced the green parking brake wire to the black ground wire (like replica9000 said) when installing it and it allows me to watch video when im in motion now. Otherwise id have to have the parking brake on to watch video. Id imagine its the same as that, the trick would just be figuring out which wire. Is it the stock headunit or aftermarket?

this is a pic of the cover that I took off(if u could reattach it after u got the leather in place it would look neater) an a pic of mine without said inside cover and pointing out one of the 5 screws that hold it on. I don't know what other info I could give u but if u need anymore help u can write here or pm.

ps its prolly easier if u remove the hinge(4 screws at bottom center), that's what I did anyway

The "Foglights on anytime" mod disabled the DRL mod. Is there a way to have both work together?

It was simply a hand brake issue - both DRL and Fog Lights do work.

Intermittent wiper question

I am new and am very impressed with the information shared on this forum. I just purchased a 2013 regular cab tacoma and am wondering if the wiper modification provided on this forum will work for this newer model. Hoping so.
