I was asking about the tail light (I even clarified it is the middle light, below the signal and above the reverse), not the signal light. But yes, signal bulb is the regular

Weston used to sell a "sport tube, side bar". It was essentially a "dress up" item for under your rocker panel. Not a nerf bar, not a step up bar. Similar to a rock slider, but more for dress up. A chrome bar under rocker panel.
2012 access, V6.

 

Avid Offroad has something like that, but it's not chromed. You could powder coat silver.

I dont seem to have the same colored wires on my 2010, almost the same but not all the same. Anyone done this on a 2010?

Also, when using the locker in 4Hi, does it disable TRAC?

 

I saw this one the other day on a different website, old school mod...Here's a cheap mod for you guys only about 20 bucks... Apparently alot of cold air intakes are not good for our motors and heads and everything, so I referred to this old school mod. Going to pismo this weekend I had to do something so I wasn't gunna suck sand straight out of my wheel well( the OEM location. First go buy a deck cap from a marine/ boat store it's cheap!


Then cut a 4inch hole in the front of your air box ( location will be behind your headlight), and block off your OEM intake port... Be creative I used a hose clamp and plumbing tar tape.



Also buy a kitchen sink drain catch mesh thing lol


Then unscrew the center of the deck cap out and cut the center out to fit the drain mesh in and jb weld the screen on


I painted my ring black btw

Fit in the outer ring into your airbox and screw it into place


Now reinstall your intake... Without the screen insert you will get the most performance increase an I DID notice a small increase in throttle response and power but this mod for me is more for the intake location so I don't get stuff in the box. You can now screw the screen in for off road use and keep it off for on road if you want to.




Anther thing to note as well is if you are not worried about your wheel well oem intake location, you can keep the original intake port how it is and just by adding the port infront, therefor creating 2 ports, you will gain the most performance out of this mod, but I deleted mine due to debris getting sucked in the wheel well. This mod is apparently better for your motor than most cold air intakes. It doesn't look as cool but I'm about function I guess. Although the aem and k&n systems look sick! Well enjoy!

 

Just finished the intermittent wiper mod on my 2011...literally took 20 minutes.

 

Here's a twist to the good ol' fog light anytime mod. There is no reason to cut into your factory wiring harness for this mod. There is a perfectly good 12V hot right there in the fuse/relay panel.

Items Needed

Crimp ring terminal
In-line fuse holder
Crimp female spade terminal

You still have to bend the leg of the relay, but you don't have to splice into the factory wires. The fog lights will come on even if the truck is turned off so don't go draining your battery over something silly.

The in-line fuse holder that I picked up had a good length of wire attached so all I had to do was crimp on the fittings and wire it up. You do need to make an access hole between the partitions. I used the dremel to make a divot in the plastic.

 

^is that one always hot though? I the mod I posted you don't cut the factory harness, you use a quick splice that leaves the wire intact, and the fogs only come on when the key is turned to on so you can't leave them on accidentally and drain your battery.

 

That is the main feed for the fuse/relay box, so yes, it's always hot. Don't leave them on and you won't have a problem.

 

Thought so. Bumped too many switches and come out to a dead battery too many times to do that. Might be helpful for others thought.

move connection from pin#21 to #13 in junction 2A. I read it is a pain to remove the cover. I will be trying this mod tomorrow.

pin#21 is the line going to fog light relay coil. pin#13 is power to EFI circuit, which comes on when the engine is running.

 

You want clean? Click the link in my sig. IMO clean isn't wires running all over your engine bay like loose spaghetti. That's just me though.

How do you figure? You mod the inside of a part that you have to remove & disassemble to see. How does it look like spaghetti specifically?

 

your mod needs to add wiring. my mod does not.
readers here can decide for themselves whose mod has the cleaner look. lol.
