If I shim my rear axle, to 3*.......Wont that throw my shock mounts off? You know, since they are staggered. The right shock mount will go up and the left down? Is the distance not noticiable? If Im anal about thing being even, could I (don't know what it's called) put two more shocks on so each side has two shocks, one front and one mounted to the back of my axle?

3* is a very small amount. I installed 2.5* on my 96 tacoma and the shims were only about 1/4" (or less) thick at the thick side.

It's not enough to worry about it and you won't notice a thing.

If you want to spend the money to buy new shocks....that's up to you. But it's a waste of money because you don't need to.
