Is there any device out there (like the Scan Gauge II) that can give you real time tire pressure readouts from the TPMS sensors in the wheels?

If I'm correct the wheels need to be in motion for the sensor to transmit data so it seems to me that this could be possible while driving. I have never seen this though and could find nothing in my searches. Thanks for any replies.

Thats outstanding. Pity though it cannot use the built in sensors. :( My fear would be that these would get stolen. However it will give nice data while driving.

Thank you for posting that link.

Definately not true. Your spare tire has a sensor in it and it's never in motion.

My light went off because my spare tire was low.

good call Jan...forgot to address that, when my summer wheels with the sensors are off for the winter, they still talk to the truck when I get home and park close to them.

It is not true that the sensor needs to be in motion, but it's also not true that his 2009 spare tire has a sensor. :) The spare tire sensor was discontinued in 2009.

Thanks for the correction Janster, I was not sure about that.

I'm surprised that there is nothing out there, or at least that I can find, that will read the factory sensors and give real time feedback. Nice valuable data IMO.

OMG! Can you imagine what this would do to us with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? Constantly watching the monitor wondering why that tire is not the same as that tire which is not the same as that tire.

You'd be stopping at every air pump on your route just to try and even it all up.

I need a nap just knowing this device is out there.

...and I thought using the same gas pump on the same setting at the same time of day to get accurate mpg was bad, this could be worse:eek:

Great. I haven't checked my spare tire pressure in a year because I thought it had this. Now I'll have to go and look.
