Heaviest Load Hauled in a Tacoma

If you refer to page 226 of the 98 Tacoma Owner's manual you will see 4wd X-Cab model is good for 1100 lbs rated load with 3 occupants. 1/2 a ton last time I checked is only 1,000 lbs. If you take an average adult at 200 lbs that equates to 1700 lbs rated cargo.

Sorry based on the rude pictures in the last thread on the subject when confronted with any real facts, I suppose it is a big stretch to assume some people can read. Maybe before stating in public a Tacoma can't haul more than half a ton legal rated load you should go to a school where people can read and have them read aloud and explain for you page 226 of your owner's manual.

I beleive your last post stated you hauled nearly 2000 KGS...YUP...YUP IT DID:

[quote= Canuckoma]
I knew the Tacoma was loaded pretty heavy, but when I got my weight slip from the dump my loads were coming out at 1500 - 1800 kgs!
[quote]
1 kilogram = 2.20462262 lbs

So the fine details of 1100 LBS versus 17000lbs pale in comparison to your claims of 3300 to 3900lbs. Yes...The Taco is rated for about 1100-1200 lbs of cargo with passengers...IT'S NOT RATED FOR 3900 lbs of JUST cargo.

So take your snarky attitude and shove it.

Hit the nail on the head, Brunes. Based on your info you gave, you had 3300 pounds (1500kgs like you said) in the bed. Not happening without major failures on the truck. Again, pictures or it never happened.
