Here is the results of the poll between Auto and Std. No big revelation here except it is a tie, Auto = 25, Std = 26. We all got the transmission we ordered (not preferred) The problem comes when our expectations are greater than the product was designed for, ie. (The Auto Trans gets water in it when the water gets to high) whats that?? I don't plan to put my 30k Taco in water like that! !! So there's no problem! !!!, (Taco lurches ahead at stop lights) That's a carb problem not the tranny! ! !! Then you hear someone say that Autos Suck! ! Lets not make problems where they don't exist and badmouth each other over what kind of trans. they have. Let's stick to real problems and real solutions and make TW a friendly place to visit and participate! !!!

I could not agree with you more, both transmissions would be welcomed in my driveway, as with the owners. :D

No auto's in my driveway unless a lady is driving it. The wife drives an auto highlander, so it's acceptable. All my buddies know that if they have an auto they have to park down the street not in the driveway or in front of the house, that's reserved for the MEN with manual tranny's. LOL
