I'm running a High Angle Driveline setup using a Ford Super Duty carrier bearing and double-cardigan CV joint. Pretty much bulletproof.

It requires a custom mount since the larger carrier bearing has different bolt spacing. Mine is lower than stock to clear the torque arm mount at full compression but is still high enough to make sure the driveshaft clears the driveshaft skidplate at full droop.

dunno i cant figure it out. the only thing that i have changed is gone from 38's to 35's the driveshaft sholdnt have moved right? i took it to one of the shops and they said it could be the slip was sticking so i greased it up real good and still nothing. mad some new drop spacers to try and reduce the angle and still nothing. i will get some pics of it tomorrow and see if anyone can see anything wrong. thanks

I am having the same problem with my 02 Taco. The first bearing went bad at 82000 miles . The dealer would only change the whole drive shaft assembly so I did that 20000 miles or so later and it went bad again, all I did was put different rims on it and kept the stock tires and now i have a 2.5 lift on it to fix clearance issues while turning. I don't know what to do with this carrier bearing issue. THE NOISE IT CREATES IS DRIVING ME CRAZY...

installed 5100's set front on 1.75 at 52K, truck has 60K and had to replace both front bearing hubs left was brownish and right was starting brown, you could hear the left one and a tech said 2nd gen were notorious for wheel bearings, who knows ?

hey i read your post .... you are going through bearings on the front spindles right , i had that problem with my 94 toyota p/u , front wheels were too wide and was causing the outer bearings on the front wheels to grind up
