Best break pads?

Hey guys i've never replaced pads on my truck before so i'm clueless as to what type of break pad would provide me with better breaking and less break dust than the stock pads.. any input is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hawk ceramics.

anything ceramic creates less dust in general...and Hawk seems to be a good brand.

I use tirerack.com

Doubtful most shops stock them.......I could be wrong.

Do u have to get it done NOW, or can u wait for them to be shipped?

BTW, I used to work at NAPA, and it seems like most shops have crap for their "house brands"..........Wait if possible and order decent ones like HAWK, or check the dealer.

Just my 2cents

I had 100k on the originals and just changed the pads. I used OEM why argue? they stop fine and wear good. I only changed to originals because 100k was a long way to go but I still had %25 left. I am hoping for another 100k out of this set.

I agree, the original brake pads are usually the way to go. I've changed lots of pad / rotors, and the difference between aftermarket, and factory pads can be quite drastic. This has some effect on the electronic brakeforce distribution, as it will not know that the pads are different, and might not operate as efficiently.
