My Tacoma is the first brand new vehicle I have ever purchased. I'm happy with the mileage - averaging 18+ mpg with 2300 miles. Some people have told me that after an engine breaks in, the gas mileage will increase. Is this true? If so, how well did it increase with your Tacoma? It still has all the original fluids - in case that matters.

My mileage started in the 20.5 range and over the next 5000 miles got to where it is now. Whether that's because it was still learning my driving style or some other "break in" I can't say but I'm happy with 21.5-22mpg!
