4X4 access cab 4cyl w/5 speed. Get 17 to 19 local driving and 21 to 24 hwy. Depends on how much I stay off the accelerator. Driving like a old man, I get better mileage then how I normally drive(10 to 20 mph over the limit). :D

Update: I just hit 22.3 mpg on about 40% highway and 60% city driving. I didn't run into TOO much stop-and-go traffic but did encounter some. This is my best mileage to date for these kind of conditions and by no means was light footing it.

I'm impressed for it being a PreRunner..

In my 09 Prerunner dbl cab V6, only got about 17 on the highway, @ 65-70. Very disappointed - my previous gen Tundra V8 got 18.5. Why do the pre-07 Tundras with the same V6 get better mileage than the 09 Taco?

Give the engine some break-in time. It's brand new!

I just got my worst fuel economy, but it's still impressive considering!!! At last fill-up, it calculated to 16.8mg. I drove a good bit during this tank in 4wd, and let it warm up longer than usual.

Pretty good, I think. Hopefully it gets even better as the engine breaks in.

Average between 16 and 18 MPG the last month. I am sure as the weather gets better my MPG will improve.

Lately I have been getting about 16-17 here in MI with my 05 AC Prerunner. But when you take into winter grade gas, let it warm up a few minutes in the morning and fish tail around snow covered corners I guess that's not too bad.

how many miles do you have on the truck. It does take about 1000 miles to break in.. you will see your miles increase over time. Mine started out in the 14-15 mpg range and then jumped to around 18 mpgs. I get 20-21 if I keep it under 65mph.

I have 1400 miles on it. I hope your right. I don't mind it right know when gas prices are under $2 a gallon, but we all know that can change. Hey are you using regular gas or premiun.
