I have a 2005 tacoma. I plan to move to Australia during the summer. Is there any way to change the steering to the right side? I have found no information on this topic.

Basically, no - not without major fabrication, expense, and custom work. You'd be better off selling your Tacoma stateside and getting a Hilux once you're in Australia.

Do they require steering to be on the right side there?

The rules there are actually more lax than here in the states. You can drive a left hand drive vehicle there. The problem is bringing one from there back here. It take a lot of fab work for the doors and side for bracing.

Maybe Ill just ship the truck and drive as is. Shipping is around 1800usd and I can pack my dirt bike and other belongings in the back for a combined shipping price.
