I found these on TTROA or was it Toyota Nation posted as being for a Tundra, but might work for a Taco (I have not tried them yet)

Anyone know what the speed offset for the stock TRD Sport tires might be?

I contacted ScanGauge today to check up on the Trans temp reading question to see if they had any new codes worked out. I asked about codes for an '06 Tacoma V6 and '05 4Runner V6 and they replied with:
" [FONT=&quot]Thank you for your inquiry. Currently, transmission temperature is only available for Ford, GM and some VW vehicles via the X-Gauge feature. The X-Gauge comes standard on the ScanGauge II and allows you to program extra gauges into your unit for your vehicle. Our engineers have found two codes in order for the ScanGauge II to display transmission temperature for Toyota vehicles, however they are very experimental so there is a possiblility that the codes may not work. [FONT=&quot]Please let us know the results of the these codes for your vehicle and if you have any further questions"

Anyone try these codes and see what they get?

Sorry, no go on my 2010. I triple checked both entries in my SGII. Neither one shows a value being returned in gauge mode.

ETA: I googled for a while and found these exact codes listed on tacomaterritory.com, claiming someone on a tundra site got them from the SGII folks. This was in August of 2009. Sorry, again. No go.

Ok, thanks anyway, guess they aren't looking too hard to add this to their x-gauge abilities. Would have bought one if they worked for this as well.

I sent a friendly reminder to the folks at SG to see where they were up with their ancient promise to support TFT readings.

Transmission temperature for 2010+ tacos. Enjoy!

It’s theorized that TF1 is the pan temperature, while TF2 is the converter outlet temperature so TF2 will fluctuate much faster than TF1 will.

As far as I know, when a car has a MAF, it does not have a MAP. So the tacoma does not have a MAP... so no code for it.

Hey everyone, I've had a scangauge in all my cars. I just picked up my 05 Taco and wanted to find out if anyone has found a code that works for TFT?

    Thanks!

For you guys that are able to get transmission temp readings on your Scanguage. Can you check your software version. I currently have 2 guages. One is a 3.15 version and the other is a 3.17 version. Neither will read the transmission temps when in xguage mode. Website says to send unit to them for a $25 update. Want to know what software versions are working for you all. Thanks!
