    i was looking for a constant hot in the rear trailer hitch 7 pin assembly
    anyone know what color the hot lead is?????
    and if it is hot at all times
    thanks

    Did you try black but I think this is only if key is in ON position

    IIRC I don't think there is a constant "hot" wire. For my camper shell I had to wire directly to the battery for the light. otherwise I could only have light if the headlights or parking lights were on. I bought my test light at wallyworld for $1 pretty cheap way to find out. plus its been helpful on a few other mods.
