Dude I have over 100k and the pads on my truck are the original  They're about due though, I noticed a lil squeak up front but I think it was just sand or dust cause it hasn't made a sound since I washed it. Plus this dude at Checker told me there 85% worn. I'm gonna go with Hawk Ceramics when I change em

I've read many posts about good life in the original pads. Which is why I'm bemused at mine at 20,000 miles... at low speeds and low pressures I get a sound almost exactly like rubbing a wet finger around the rim of a wine glass. I know it's not the wear indicator as my pads look almost new. I've cleaned them twice to no avail, no sure if I'm going to change them out anyway in the hopes of getting rid of the noise.

how good are the hawk pads?? What's the difference to semi ceramics vs ceramics?

will it work ok to OEM rotor?

should worry about the rear brakes? most of the time they last a long ass time!
