Curious how much of a pain in the balls it would be. Anyone ever do it?

A steering rack by itself shouldn't be too bad. You have tie rods p/s lines and two large bolts. You will definitely need an alignment after.

I know that but wanted to know if anyone has actually done it. Have you?
