    driving home from work and the truck cratered. wrong size battery slide into the tray tie down and now it seems like the parking brake is stuck on and the engine dies every time i put it in gear or turn on the head lights any help apperciated

    01 SR: Double Cab conversion, S/C, lowered.
    Do you mean the parking brake *light* is stuck 'on'? Or do you literally mean the parking brake mechanism is jammed?

    Any blown fuses? Any signs of shorting or heat damage where the battery slid out of position?

    Is this an automatic or a manual?

    no i mean the parking brake mechanism and the battery definatl shorted out getting ready to check fuses

    Probably hurt your ecm. I had the same thing happen to me once but the short sparked a P/S fluid leak and caught the truck on fire :D

    fixed it it was the ground to the body wire
