how do i turn this warning light off

    Sorry. If this is a repost my phone doesn't like tw's search Function any one know how to turn off the srs warning light i don't have time to drop my truck off at the dealer right not and this light is annoying me. I have a feelbattery i unplug the battery i could reset it but i trying to find an easier way first if there is one. [​IMG] warning light is then red one to the right of the headlight icon.

    That's the airbag light, not the seat belt light.

    OP, I have no idea...but that's not a light I'd want to ignore.

    I do its not the seatbelt light its something todo with the airbags

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    It's the SRS warning light which means you either have a bad sensor or ATRAC is on (IIRC). I think one of those electronic doo-hickey systems disables the airbags we it is on. Can't remember which one..

    I don't think an '08 has ATRAC, does it?

    My vote is the sensor is bad.

    Not sure about the ATRAC myself, but going with the sensor too.

    completely stock
    is it possible you have anything on the passenger seat like a bookbag? the seat might sense something there but not over 60lbs so it disables the airbag???? just a thought

    Exactly, and it's not a light I'd ignore. The last thing I'd want is my airbags spontaneously going off in my face as I'm driving (or not going off in a crash).

    Its the malfunction light. Manual say go to dealer

    I thought that too and stopped in the dealer yesterday but they can look at it for a few days i asked if it was ok to drive the service guy said i should be fine so i guess i will just have to make an appointment and hope it does go off while im driving lol.

    Ok thanks for ur input. Im going to reset the computer either tonight or tomorrow and see if that does anything if not its off to the deal. I will report back when its fixed
