Front skid plate. Hood protector, and wade in-channel guards. K&N CAI. Weathertech floormats, and door scuff guards. Tri-fold soft tonneau cover.
I have been reading posts about a whining noise for awhile, and thought that I was plagued with on of the trucks that did it. I have had a couple friends that have told me that theirs didn't make the noise. My Chief(army) has an 07 sport, and he stopped me the other day. Says that it sounds like the Power Steering noise is amplified, and constant. I am about 1500 miles from my warranty running out, and am going to take it to the dealership to see if they can't do anything about. Any thoughts???

I have the same problem. Not worth writing home about, but there nonetheless. I have checked the power steering fluid, and it's fine. Hmmmmmmmm. I have to think someone else has experienced this. Is there a thread somewhere?

Did you ever found out what was making the noise?

Go! My warranty ran out not long ago and I just replaced the center bearing and a cracked u-joint. Today the tech finds metal shavings in the rear differential.

My truck made a whine this morning and it got louder with rpms so not sure if engine or trans no codes but the truck is new only 381 miles so hopefully not something serious may take it to the dealer this week..... and only noticed the sound today when started up and it continued all the way to work...update the dealer now has the truck agree at least the service advisor agrees noise is louder than normal and coming from the general area of the alternator....

Ok so not the alternator dealer says they have to submit a case from corp and may be something internal in engine so far they just removed drive belt and now the waiting game but truck is so new if something major I may ask to swap to a diff truck on the lot....service said never seen before and may even have to get a master tech out from corp. nice :bananadead:

Could be the hole on the lower control arms perhaps its a whistling noise. almost like your blowing in a bottle. have you taken it to the dealer?

check all your idler pulleys, mine had a horrible whine, I used a stethoscope to isolate them one by one until I found the culprit, the bearing was almost seized up, it was $50 some odd dollars to replace and not too hard!

Well I assume they have done all these easy stuff before opening their case but I will make sure to ask they said they took the drive belt off and said for sure it wasnt the alt. And i assume pullies I will keep you posted as to what they find and when and I could have gotten a highlander but the camry is fine i guess?

I did contact Toyota corp today as I wasnt thrilled with the dealers blah response...:puke:so Toyota corp. is suppose to call me on Monday....

Yes we will see what happens on Monday...but I just told the dealer I wasnt happy with a new truck w apparent major engine issues so they gave me the option to have it fixed which they will have to do if I keep it or not and then I asked about swapping for a new same truck and that was the options they provided so far....so maybe Toyota corp. will offer some different solutions such as a swap without me coming up w 2k or a buyback to get something else....:boink:

No real news talked w toyota customer service rep who said he would have to do more research and contact me by the end of the week.....the dealer just said master techs coming out etc but they have had the taco since last wed. W no repair in sight so the waiting game is fun:playball: still in the free loaner camry though maybe i can haul things in it.....
