Just wondering if its possible to splice into the hot lead that goes to the rear lights. I need to wire in a light for the inside of my cap/canopy. I dont really want to run a lead all the way to the battery and also put in a fuse.

Any ideas?

Yes, it is possible, and that exactly how my Leer dealer wired the lights for my cap. Make sure you splice in a quick disconnect plug so you can take off the cap without having to "unwire" everything.
