Converted to propane-knocks on lp

I can't seem to find the cure to this. It only knocks on LP. Can the timing be adjusted?

 

The only way to cure a knock condition is if the ECU is programmed to LP conversion. The timing will all be based on assuming you are running gasoline.

 

Does the 05 have an octane sensor? Could Running premium gas advance the timing enough to stop the knock?

 

As I recall, they don't use octane sensors, but instead typically they ramp the timing up until it senses preignition, then backs it down. I am not sure how that would work when running LP.

 

Propane has an octane rating of 112, so it should be well above the level of premium gas. Could it be possible you are not running enough propane causing a lean knock?

 

I believe it should be getting ample propane. The exhaust trims were matched to the petrol trims. The system is a pretty pricey Prins VSI(Autogas) duel fuel system.
