Transmission swap, need info

    1991 DX longbed
    Hey everybody
    I have a 1991 longbed, 4wd, 3.0, manual. Recently I had a hard time getting the transmission to shift into 1st,2nd and reverse. Now it is stuck in reverse. The gearshift seems to be in neutral.
    My question. A friend of mine has a 90/92 (not sure of year), but it is a 4 cyl, 4wd, manual. Would the transmission/transfer work in my truck?
