Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Your AC probably has a leak and needs charged. Don't run it any more because the lubricant is mixed with the refridgerant.

Also, can you use some of these: ....,.,,,.... Your post was a little hard to follow.

Don't run the AC until you establish the issue.

Take your head unit back out and see what wire or connector is possibly undone. I am not certain but the HVAC controls maybe vacuum operated. You may have inadvertently disconnected a vacuum line.

Check to make sure your water valve cable is moving. Look under the hood near the fire wall where the heater hose goes into the truck. You should see a valve in line with the hose. Make sure that the cable is still attached. Move the heater control from cold to hot and see if the cable moves. If the cable is not moving then there is probably something wrong with the cable. If that's the case you can remove the cable and move the control lever with your hand. The water valve is what stops the coolant from going through the heater core.

It sounds like the valve isn't being opened like Mikey stated earlier. When you are standing in front of the truck facing the engine, back on the left side where the hose goes thruogh the firewall, in that general area is the valve he was refering too. See if you can turn it by hand and get your cold air. I will see if i can locate a pic.

Did you check behind the head unit to see if the cable came loose from the other when you swapped head units?

That I tells me that the cable has come undone in the dash some where. If you can follow it back and see where it connects. It is going to be in your dash behind you control knobs.
