How do they add subtitles to Youtube videos

How do they add the subtitles to these videos..

I want to take some of the John Ryleigh Videos i have of him talking and do something similiar based on his facial expressions either make rants or raves..

 

Video editing software
then uploaded to YT

 

yeah. you can even do it in something as basic as windows movie maker, but it can get really annoying and frustrating after a while when you're trying to get the timing right and everything to match up. you will find yourself working for an hour or two, just to do a few minutes of editing (if you're really particular about things being perfect)

 

Im just lookin for something quick and easy.. im just trying to put subtitles to my 1 year olds baby talk videos.. to send to his aunt, uncles, grandparents etc... oh and post here.. just some stuff to make people laugh

 

windows movie maker is about as simple as it gets as far as video editing software. try it out.
