Well i had a 32" LCD 720P TV that i had since 06 and died on me last night. So im going to buy a new TV today im thinking of getting a 37" 1080P TV. Id would go with a 42" but it wont fit where im putting it.
Anyone have any personal advice on a good quality and a good picture TV?

I have the Samsung LED and it is awsome. All of my friends come over to my house to watch the game cause they like the picture quality so much. Samsung makes great quality products!

I was thinking of getting an LED but i heard more than half of them break, so its luck of the draw when you buy an LED.

Kenny Powers says no go on the vizios!

seriously though...I've had two Samsungs (both DLP's, which have fallen out of favor since they failed to make mention in puff daddy songs despite their superior value and picture quality), and they do indeed make great sets. My current tube I picked up off craigslist...61" DLP with LED light source...$1200. Can't get close to that with a panel.

Joking aside, Vizios TV aren't bad. I had a 32" LCD for awhile and it certainly got the job done.

At only 37", you really do not need to get "the best" picture on the market. Get a solid TV but don't focus so much on pixels and other specifications. Definitely no need to go 240 over 120hz. Heck, you may not even notice the difference from a 60hz.

Samsungs are the best but expensive. Vizio's are decent and cheap. I think I heard they make up 50% of all LCD tv's on the market. I have an LG and am very happy.

I have a 37" Vizio LCD 1080P TV in my bedroom and I love it!! I have a 52" Samsung LCD in my living room and you can tell the Samsung picture quality is a bit better but for the prices of Vizio's, you should be good to go.;)

You can get a brand new 65" mitsubishi DLP for that much. I've had the wd 65735 for two years now...been a great tv. If you can fit a 12" deep tv, I'd do it.

A big TV makes a difference. If your viewing position is ~8ft back from your tv, you'll need at least a 65" tv to even begin to see the benefits of 1080p. Just food for thought.

I was in the same position two years ago with a little higher budget. I was looking at some of the higher end 120hz LCDs and the high end plasmas. I had a moment of clarity and decided on the biggest DLP I could fit...and I never looked back.

I agree w/Vizio. I have had a 32" now for about 4 years....Every time my dad will drop by he always asks me about the tv.........He has a Samsung and is not to happy with it.......I think he is just getting old because I see nothing wrong w/that tv.......but its not in my price range.........Good luck....
