Removing apps from ipod/iphone

What am I not seeing? Do I need to be hooked up to my pc to remove the apps I dont want?.....I've gone through the settings app but can't figure it out.

 

Yes , you choose which ones to sync in Itunes .

 

click and hold, wait for them to shake and hit the x to delete

 

No, go to your home screen to where it shows all your apps etc. Hold your finger in any part of the screen intill the apps and such shake then you can choose to move whichever or delete and thats it

Screw iTunes only use it to transfer music and photo's.
