So my roomate and I have comcast internet. We have the upgraded "Blast" internet with speeds up to 30 mbs. Our download speed is close to 25 mbs which is good but our upload speed is about 3 mbs. Is that normal? When we play xbox live it tends to be slow and laggy. Is this because of our slow upload speed?

My download speed is about 10mbps and upload is like 1.5mbps. I believe they are all that way.

Did you set up Port Forwarding on your router?

The router was provided by comcast. I do have a linksys router but the modem/router they provided has wifi.

Okay, it should still have a model # and manufacturer. You can google it and find the default username/password. ISP's often don't change it. Or you can call Comcast and they can give you the login info. If you are super nice and lucky they might do it for you remotely.
