Ipad help for a dummy please

Ah here's the problem. The picture in the gallery is always a link, never just a picture. If you go to it in your normal browser and click on the picture, it makes it bigger. And if you click on it again, it makes it smaller. So it's trying to copy the link not the picture itsself.

Can't do it because the iPad recognizes it as a link, not a picture, and the link doesn't go to a jpeg, it goes to another HTML page

 

I've never figured it out, but that's not saying a lot. I thought I was on to something.

There's a somewhat circuitous way around it though. You can use the "search this thread" feature and search TW live for the post where you sent the pic. Then quote that post.

 

Just left us hangin'..

 

I upload my photos to flickr through the browser only (not the app), and look for "share" after clicking on the uploaded pic. Then it will give you a string of "html code" (?) copy it and paste into your post. Works for me on my IPad. That's the ONLY way I've had success.

Aside from this whole fiasco with image copying, how do you guys like the Ipad? I seem to constantly hear about 'little' annoyances like this and can't help but be turned off by them. Are they worth the hassle?

 

For me it's worth it. I barely ever use my laptop anymore. I also use the ipad to to read all of my magazines and newspapers. You get magazines a couple of days before the mailed to you too.

It's a lot easier to take it in the can with you too.

OZ, hopefully you can find a simple work around to the image issue. Seems like one of those things you'd think should be simple but Steve Jobs gave you good ole one finger salute...
