You should start a non-profit and pay your employee really well by marking that shit up!

I have one, but that isn't for businesses to run in production.

That is ridiculously cheap for a production license.

I guess I'd say there are alternatives that don't cost $5k

yes there are, but when that 1 license lets you run unlimited VM's on a physical machine, then $5k looks pretty good. :D

A friend moved to ND only to leave for CO. IDK if he just couldn't find what he was looking for or the job market isn't what he thought it was.

Rents out here are pretty high. They average $1600/month for a 1-bedroom apt-kinda rape if you ask me.

Unfortunately, it seems like the apartment complexes are at the forefront of gouging when the housing market is difficult. Some of them are complete dives yet still command (and get) high rents.

Use Acme Installer 3.0, hook it up in HP WebOS recovery mode. It will rebuild ICS.. You can find the steps on this site.

    http://rootzwiki.com/topic/21871-rom-official-cyanogenmod-9-nightly-build-discussion/

If you want to remove Android totally and go back to WebOS, you use Acme Installer 3.0 and run the uninstall commands.. It will destroy all Android partitions.

PM me if you need more help

Interesting to hear about North Dakota opportunities. I saw a documentary (infomercial maybe?) that indicated it was a new tech center with a really low cost of living (which it would have to be to pull people to ND). But if there isn't decent housing available at a reasonable price, it's kind of a moo point. Even the cows don't care. Sounds like they have both oil and tech going on at the same time and aren't dealing with supply and demand well enough to keep things booming. I probably wouldn't live there anyway, but definitely wouldn't at Silicon Valley prices and ND pay.

I don't have an issue with the weather (being from WI), but the wife and kid are Floridians, or have been long enough (over 25 years)...they're freeze-babies and if I move to one of the Dakotas, I'm prolly moving solo.

Good news is, though, I got a not horrible job down here. A horrible commute, but good enough pay and bennies for the time being, so...crisis temporarily averted.

do you guys have any programs that help you visually differentiate your windows?
For example, let's say you have a web editor open in 3 windows.
The first window displays a reference information, such as a result of your test run, etc.
    The second displays existing code
The third is the version of code that you are modifying.

The easy answer would be to have enough monitors to designate each monitor for a specific task, but I only have 2 monitors. As a result, it can be hard to remember what I'm minimizing or restoring. I've turned off 'combine task bar buttons' which helps, but I was wishing I could do something like color code the title bar of the windows... I'm guessing this doesn't really exist since having a coding hook like that is highly frowned upon in Windows programming.

Anyone have something that helps them?

Got a call this morning that our clinic directors computer wouldn't print. Ok no problem, found corrupt print drivers and a corrupt spooler, fixed those, still wouldn't print. Went on site to take a look, powered on, everything is plugged in, OS still couldn't find it.... Ok thought maybe I'll just unplug the usb and pop it back in for good measure.... USB was plugged into the Ethernet jack.................................................................. I lol'd

Hmmm. That's not a good sign

Have you looked at WinSplit? Something like that should get you part way there. VirtualWin allows you to have multiple desktops. Also useful.

Anyone have any clue why all of a sudden I am getting random computers with IP conflicts? This has happened twice over 2 weeks, but the DHCP server is not saying there is two of the same. I am running server 2003.
