It isn't really better. Everything that Adobe makes in regards to art is on PC and Mac.

I have been hardcore PC guy since 1994, but in my new job I have to learn Unix so who knows WTF I will be using in 6 months. I may jump right into Linux and this why I do not have to replace my hardware.

My husband and I used to be die-hard Mac owners for years.

We changed over to PC's because there just wasn't enough support in terms of software and what we wanted/needed to use the computers for. It got harder and harder finding Mac software support.......

So we converted to PC's. I can't say that we miss having the Mac's either.

Both here also. I've always been a PC person.

I have 3 desktops in the house running XP that I built. I recently bought an HP running Vista (only because I got a really good deal on it). The only problem I'm encountering is that it disconnects from my wireless network every so often.

About a year ago, I went out and bought a 24" iMac to see what all the hype was about. Since I do alot of video editing, I thought it would be good to learn on it. I'm still figuring it out tho.

slave to trends? Macs have been around almost as long as PC's, it seems that every new product Apple releases turns the world on its head. Ipod, Iphone. Maybe people just want a quality product that happens to look cool!

I agree. How is buying a product that less that 10% of computer users buy, following trends?
