Simple android app to help read sheet music

Hey guys and gals, my friend and coworker has been working hard on an app for the android market for the past few months. The app will allow you to take a picture of of a line of sheet music, pick the key and clef, and then it will play that line. This is a neat app to help you learn sheet music or if you are curious how a tune should sound. Check it out and see what you think. There are two versions, a free trial version that is limited and a full version for $3.99 which is a steal. Let me know if you like it or hate it and let me know your suggestions and I will pass them on to him. Thanks in advance guys and gals. Anyone tried it out yet? How did it work? What did you think?

 

Tried it.. it just crashes every time I click the "snap" button.

 

what device are you using it on? Does it inform you of an error or does it instantly crash? He is planning to fix some major bugs in the next update in the next few weeks that should solve a lot of crash problems.

 

Asus TF101 tablet. It just says "Unfortunately, SnapNPlay Demo has stopped." [Report] or [Ok].

 

currently the snap and play app has only been developed for smart phones and the cameras on those. On a majority of tablets the camera quality is not high enough to produce a solid image that can be read by the program. In future versions it will become available for tablets

 

Weird... it's a 5 MP camera. Photo quality is superb.

Anyway, I'm not a programmer, I can imagine the bugs are frustrating to track down.

It wouldn't be the first app that doesn't work on tablets for some bizarre reason.... Sirius/XM still haven't fixed theirs for android.

 

He has placed a few updates out since the first version. And has done a overhaul on the design. Check it out guys. Anyone else downloaded it? Whats your thoughts?

 

I have an iPhone, otherwise I would use it for guitar

He has done a large overhaul on it recently. It works much better and offers more features to paid users.
