    allright thanks, tenbeers and ruler
so something like this would go in there and get hooked up to provide more airflow? And should i put a 120mm fan on the side of the case and a 120mm on top as a exhaust fan? I would have to dremel the spots to mount the fans. Theres no fans as far as i can see besides the psu and cpu fans. And the case is a com logic, I can post pics of the case if yall need them

ok, ill probably mess around with this case and see what i can come up with, at worst if i dont have money to put towards a case ill just leave the cover off the case and put a fan so its blowing on it. this is getting expensive i told my dad i could have it running for 130-180 and now its ~403 without shipping and without a case
i forgot they were up in L.A. area

He's saying that is an old Pentium II system -- the processor is on a riser card rather than in a socket on the board. Again, that thing is a relic. Might run Linux and be able to browse the web as-is though.

oh, man i'm slow today. i just realized you said this "Also I see zero IDE support...........good if u have sata drives, but not so if u still have older ide drives (large wide ribbon cables)" so when i buy a hdd just make sure its a sata drive? and the blu ray drive, it has to be sata to?

SATA is pretty much the standard now -- IDE would probably be more expensive at this point anyway.

Pardon for asking if you have already covered this, but if you are really going to reuse the case, are you sure there won't be any obstructions? There's a metal panel I see that may interfere with either a large video card in the first slot or with your CPU heatsink. Also, if the case doesn't have a pop-out panel in the back where your ports are, things might be difficult to plug in without a serious case mod (dremel?). They eventually standardized, but back in the PII days I don't recall it being standard. You might want to think about an Antec 300, good inexpensive case.

i found a hdd http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digit...=UTF8&qid=1342033849&sr=8-1&keywords=sata+hdd it has good reviews.
i plan on it, i might give this computer to my parents, the desktop they have now can barely run itunes and it annoys them to death.
then ill build a fancy one with something like a i7 or a 8 core amd to be super performance oriented, this one is just going to be basic, i hope.
i'll make it work.i checked because i hadnt thought of it, and yes the panel pops out. if i need a case this one,http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153 has good reviews and a decent amount of fans.
