I posted this question in the official photography thread: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/photography/126047-official-photography-thread-471.html.

But I thought I could get a wider range of opinions by creating a poll.

I've decided to use an image hosting website for a couple of reasons. Mainly, to add higher resolution images to TW posts in the event that I actually do post an image. Second, for easier sharing of pictures with family members.

    Things I'm looking for:
    1. Free
    2. No size restrictions or scaling down
    3. Availability to restrict images if necessary (we all know that the internet is not "private.")
    4. Completely web-based. I don't want to install any software on my computer.

So I ask. What image hosting website do you use, and why?

    Photobucket.
Free, easy to use, minor editing functions provided, free.

Idk about privacy on images though.
It wouldn't surprise me if that was available.

I have a website and use the hosting and unlimited bandwidth to host my pictures. Or Facebook. Either one...

Combination of Photobucket and my personal web space.

For TW, I usually just upload as attachments to save my bandwidth.

I decided to go with Flickr, though I am still very open to others. Photobucket limits you to 2GB on the free account, and shutterfly's TOS doesn't allow direct posting into forum type sites.

I use Pbase and have since 2004, when I signed up in 04 it was $23.00, it's still $23.00 and you get 1000 MB of photo storage. I have 3666 photo's on the site and am only using 770 Megabytes of storage space.

don't associate me with that old timer. o.o

I really enjoyed tinypic because for the longest time there wasn't any "type this in" and then it went to really easy ones, now they are pretty lame and I skip a lot of them because they want you to watch an ad.
