Okay. I am not biased at all, I want to love Android phones and I don't want to get in to the Droid vs Apple debate. I love rooting and installing roms on the droid phones I have owned but the OS isn't as well built as apples. Windows phones are excellent, but no one hardly uses them and there is hardly any app support. I've never used a blackberry but everyone I know that has owned one loved theirs. With all that said, when Ubuntu's phone comes out, I will be switching.. I really don't see the need to charge an extra $100 for 16 gigs of memory, Ubuntu's phones will come with 128 gigs of memory.. I don't see why any phone company can't make this happen and not charge a ridiculous amount of money for a marginal amount of memory.

I never got on board the iphone train for this reason. It bothered me on my ipod that I was limited to where my music came from. They have created a product line that forces the consumer into dependency. Not to go full nerd, but Apple's stock is down $27 since the "big news", and that is after Carl Icahn said the stock was undervalued 3 weeks ago.

The interesting thing is, I've had the fingerprint reader on my 2009 Dell Latitude and on my 2010 Motorola Atrix for all those years. People told me it was stupid and annoying. Apparently now it is groundbreaking. The mentality just baffles me.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Agreed. Wife and I both have the 4, received the last system update and all of the app updates. Hell, even my shitty old iPods get updates via wireless at the house.

That said, we just buy the new stuff when Verizon will offer it for next to nothing. I don't need a supercomputer to check the weather or take phone calls.

I can get music from other places besides iTunes. It is not that difficult.

I have a 4 and I have not found an app that I couldn't get! They usually support the new model and the 2 or 3 past models. And according to the website (http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/) io7 is going to support the 4 through 5S, did your wife tell you a story? I reformat and re-install everything every year and a half or so. I hear that is a common practice with most smartphones.

TBH, I just started this thread because I posted "Apple Suxc" in another thread and was told to start my own. I use Android phones personally, but dont really have anything against IPhones.

Yes i know. I meant more like accounts, and maybe I am just not savvy but in the past I could plug my ipod into my g/fs computer and take songs from her itunes and vice versa. Now with one of the recent updates, if you connect to another itunes it completely clears your library and syncs it with the itunes library you are connected to (after you click ok). If there is a setting change somewhere I am missing that would be a great help and i will happily retract my statement ;-)

Also, i have an ipad and my tao ipod, so I am no here saying "down with apple", I was just mentioning these things.

    I agree with this.

I also agree with this. Technology can be around for a while and people just brush it off, but then as soon as Apple comes out with their version it is some awesome new breakthrough. All the sheep come running.

I hope it's not the only way to unlock the phone. My guess is they have a pin to back it up. My Motorola Atrix had a fingerprint sensor on it. You could use the sensor or an unlock pin. They also had swipe patterns. The sensor was pretty quick and nice if you needed to unlock on the road. They dropped it for subsequent phones. Don't know why.

My wife had apps that wouldn't work but that was because she was still on the original OS that came with 4. After upgrading to IOS 6, it worked fine.
