Basically in the market for a new tablet. I bought an asus transformer a few nights ago and hate it. Battery life sucks and it is so damn hard to carry around. So returning it.

My question is what do you have as a tablet and if you had to choose again would you get something else and what. Trying to stay in the 2-400.00 range if possible.

    The fun has just begun.
I have an I pad and a galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition. Like them both. Trying to sell the I pad now. Just got the tablet yesterday.

I had a Samsung Galaxy Note. I sold it because it was pretty much just an over-sized cell phone that couldn't make phone calls.

Why are you getting rid of the nexus 7? That is what all of my local friends are suggesting I get. Or the nexus 10

My wife and I both have nexus 7's. IMHO they are the perfect size, the specs are decent, and we are always using it.

Nexus 7 and a Microsoft Surface. I have a Kindle Fire HD but that has been pretty much taken over by my 4 year old daughter.

The Surface is a nice machine for consuming. Magazines and books are sharp but the unit gets a little heavy after holding it for an hour. It tends to be what I take traveling unless I absolutely need to bring a laptop.

The Nexus 7 is primarily what I use in the truck for navigation, surfing, etc. Great size for the road and OK for books but a 7 inch screen does not work well for magazines. I would prefer my Surface any day over the Nexus for most tasks.

I'm not somebody who would really take advantage of the app stores. I get apps but for what I do on the tablets, any ecosystem has most of the apps I need. If you need the most variety of apps, obviously Apple or Google.

iPad 3. Honestly, never been so attached to an electronic device before. I use it about 10 hours a day, listening to music at work and surfing the web @ home. Best money on electronics I've ever spent.

Well pulled the the trigger and got a nexus 10 32 gig today. Got for a good deal so can't complain. Like it so far. Taking the transformer back tomorrow. Like the rubberized back on the nexus over the transformers glossy plastic back. And the nexus feels better in the hands. Slightly smaller than the transformer. And no bloatware like the transformer has.
