Not sure why some folks think iPads only work with other Apple products. I use a PC daily in my office and have no trouble syncing it with my iPad. I use the Pages app on my iPad and can easily save any document in Word format. What it came down to for me was the fact that apps for the iPad greatly outnumber apps for the Android. Ease of syncing and downloading musc, photos, and movies is a plus. All that said though, if you own a smart phone, I'd sure sure try to get a tablet that is the same format.

What are you talking about? There are the same if not more apps for Android than apple any day of the week. And the best part if you're going to talk apps is. Most of your apps you pay for on your ipad. I downloaded them for free from the play store.

Actually, Android is ahead in the total number of apps that are available, according to recently released figures, but these figures include all apps, both phone and tablet. On the other hand, Apple has 475,000 apps specifically for its tablets. Figures for apps specifically meant for Android tablets have not been released, but most industry experts feel that Apple leads in that area.

For those of you using Android tablets, I just discovered Quickoffice. Seems like it would be pretty good in comparison to other offerings.
