Does anyone know how to input gps coordinates in the iPhone maps? I can't seem to figure it out. I am mainly looking to input in degrees minutes seconds but would like to know how to enter other forms as well. Also, what about the google maps ap? Same questions as above. Lastly, does anyone have a GPS ap that makes this easy that they recommend?

    Thanks

is it something you need to do on the fly, or something you can do when you have wifi?

in the Maps app on the iPhone if you enter in the search "40.748342, -73.984606" it will drop a pin directly on the Empire State Building. (or +40 44' 54.03", -73 59' 4.58) (or 40 46 49 -73 58 08 will put you in Central Park (by the theater))

Something I need to do on the fly. Mostly for offroad and camping use. I tried the examples above and they both work. However, I try to input some others that are supposed to be by my house and it doesn't work. It pulls up China.

Perhaps the +/- coordinates are reversed on the longitude? - puts you west of the Prime Meridian and + puts you East of it (China). Sometimes the coordinates omit the hemisphere so it looks positive when it should be negative.
